Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Alex Smith's trade from Kansas City to Washington: “I'm happy for Alex. Alex and I were drafted in the same year. (There was) a lot of talk, I remember, about us being not ready to play, (about how we) would've been picked behind the guys in the ‘06 draft. And here we are, both of us going into our 14th season. It's pretty special. He had a fantastic year last year. Tough situation. They obviously drafted a kid but for him to get an opportunity at a place that wants him, paid him the right way, I'm happy for him. He's one of the good guys in the league. We're going to keep holding on to see if we can get to 40 I think.”
