Bill O'Brien said the Texans will start Tyrann Mathieu at safety and then move him from there. "His versatility is something that really appealed to us, so we'll probably use him at other spots," O'Brien said.

But the new Texans safety said he chose kickball for his charity event in his hometown of New Orleans because it reminded him of growing up here. Mathieu was joined by fellow NFL players like Jamal Adams, Antoine Bethea, Tarik Cohen, Tony Jefferson, Robert Alford, Duke Riley and Delvin Breaux, LSU coach Ed Orgeron and boxer Regis Prograis, among many others.
