Jerry Jones confirmed to reporters at the Senior Bowl that Kellen Moore will be the Cowboys quarterbacks coach. He replaces Wade Wilson. Moore spent most of last season on the Cowboys' practice squad. His connection to offensive coordinator Scott Linehan dates back to their time in Detroit.

Cowboys bring in Richard as defensive coach

Former Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard has been hired as the Cowboys' defensive passing game coordinator, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Jason Witten on what it means to be playing in his 11th Pro Bowl: "I consider it a privilege to play alongside the best of the best in our league and look forward to getting to Orlando. I enjoy being around the young stars of the game. I learned a lot in my early years by observing some older veterans in not just how they practiced but in how they conducted themselves off the field. Hopefully, I will be able to give back some of what I have experienced."

Jason Witten has been named to the Pro Bowl to replace Philadelphia's Zach Ertz. It is the 11th Pro Bowl in his career, tying him for the most in Cowboys history with Bob Lilly. He has made the Pro Bowl in 2004-10, 2012-14 and 2017.

Cowboys' coaching staff has holes to fill

Since the season ended, Dallas has lost six assistant coaches. Some spots may be accounted for, and others appear open.

The Cowboys are scheduled to meet with John Pagano, who ended last season as Oakland's defensive coordinator, and Ray Horton, a longtime defensive backs coach and former Cowboys.

The Cowboys will add Sanjay Lal as wide receivers coach, according to multiple sources. Lal spent last season with the Indianapolis Colts. He has served as the receivers coach for the Oakland Raiders, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills as well. He replaces Derek Dooley, who left to become offensive coordinator at Missouri.
