Redskins safety D.J. Swearinger said his former team, Arizona, offered him a contract the night before free agency, then pulled it back the next day. Washington then signed him. So, yes, he's looking forward to playing them Sunday. "It means a lot," he said. "A team that gave up on me; means a whole lot."

Washington puts TE Reed (hamstring) on IR

Jordan Reed, who has missed seven games this season with a hamstring injury and battled a toe fracture and hip issues, ended up on injured reserve Tuesday, along with Byron Marshall and Chris Carter, giving Washington 18 players on IR.

The Redskins placed tight end Jordan Reed on injured reserve, the team announced today. Reed played just six games this season because of a hamstring injury. He caught 27 passes this season. They also placed RB Byron Marshall and LB Chris Carter on IR. They signed RB Kapri Bibbs, LB Pete Robertson and LB Otha Peters to the active roster.

Agent: Redskins' Cravens cleared for activities
