Jets weekly stock watch: UP — PK Jason Myers (hit more 3s than Steph Curry), QB Sam Darnold (surgical), CB Mo Claiborne (first career pick-6), WR Jermaine Kearse (10 targets, nine catches), LB Darron Lee (nice hands); TE Chris Herndon (already a better downfield threat than Austin Seferian-Jenkins). DOWN — Red-zone offense (1-for-6), WR Quincy Enunwa (fumble, injury), C Spencer Long (hiccups with shotgun snaps).

Jets snap counts (defense): For all the talk of utilizing their cornerback depth with the injuries to Trumaine Johnson and Buster Skrine, the Jets played only three. It was a season-high percentage for rookie Parry Nickerson. Surprisingly, it was Terrence Brooks, not Doug Middleton, who replaced the injured Marcus Maye. It was a four-man rotation at outside linebacker. Henry Anderson's role continued to grow as rookie Nathan Shepherd continued to diminish — season-low in snaps for the rookie.

Jets snap counts (offense): Quincy Enunwa's second-quarter ankle injury resulted in an expanded role for Terrelle Pryor. All four tight ends saw action for the first time since Week 1. Durability note: After six games, not one of the starting linemen has missed a snap — unusual in the NFL.

Jets CB Mo Claiborne scored on a pick-6 with 14:48 left in the first quarter — the fastest defensive TD in team history. He felt he was due after no interceptions last week despite getting his hands on a few balls. "‘I told ya'all.' That's what I was thinking," he said, referring to teammates who razzed him throughout the week.

Jets S Jamal Adams was hard on himself, saying, "I sucked." In fact, he said it a few times. He gave up at least two catches for 49 yards. "Outstanding catches, but for me, my standard is very high," he said. "I don't like to have passes caught on me." Adams said he must be "better with my eyes," adding, "I sucked, but we came out victorious, so I still smile."

Defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers, battling an undisclosed health issue, made a surprise appearance in the locker room before the game. LB Jordan Jenkins said, "I was emotional about this game and (his presence) and gave me that extra incentive to win." Todd Bowles said Rodgers was "a casual observer" at the game, meaning he didn't coach. Bowles said Rodgers is awaiting medical test results; they may know tomorrow. "It was a big lift for him, just like it was a big lift for us," Bowles said of his friend's surprise visit.

Darnold praises Jets for 'great team win' (0:35)
Bowles: 'To win ugly, for us is a pretty good thing' (0:43)

Jets coach Todd Bowles said they're "right back in the thick of things." He praised the team's resilience and its "growth," saying this was the type of game it used to lose. "We probably would've lost this one a year ago or a couple of weeks ago," he said. "To win ugly, for us, is a pretty good thing."

The Jets suffered two potentially significant injuries — WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) and S Marcus Maye (hand). Coach Todd Bowles didn't provide an update on either player, but neither returned to the game — not a good sign. Enunwa, injured in the second quarter, is having an MRI exam. Maye was seen in the locker room with a cast on his right hand. WR Terrelle Pryor, who replaced Enunwa, suffered a groin injury. No word on the severity.

Myers kicks Jets-record 7 FGs in 42-34 win over Colts

Jason Myers kicked a franchise-record seven field goals, Sam Darnold threw two touchdown passes, and the New York Jets held on to beat the Indianapolis Colts 42-34 on Sunday to win consecutive games for the first time in more than a year.

Only two placekickers since 1950 have scored more than the 27 fantasy points that Jason Myers had on Sunday: Rob Bironas (29, 2007 Week 7) and Jay Feely (28.5, 2010 Week 14). Both Cairo Santos (2015 Week 4) and Greg Zuerlein (2017 Week 4) have also had games of 27 points.

The Jets took a nice step in their development, winning two straight for the first time in a calendar year. The pass defense was sloppy, but the bigger picture is the streak. They finally proved they can handle a little prosperity. The competition gets stiffer with the Vikings coming to town, but the Jets are a confident team. For a change.

The fourth quarter will be a gut check for the Jets, who don't have any answers for Andrew Luck. Can they figure out to way not to blow a 17-point lead? Can rookie Sam Darnold go toe-to-toe with Luck? Can the defense cover anybody? This would be a devastating loss for the Jets.

WR Quincy Enunwa has been ruled out for the rest of the game with an ankle injury. He entered the day as the Jets' leading receiver. He was replaced by Terrelle Pryor.

An efficient half by Sam Darnold and three takeaways by the defense have resulted in a 23-13 halftime lead for the Jets. Except for one mistake (an interception), Darnold was poised and patient against the Colts' soft zones. He also showed good awareness on a hurry-up drive at the end of the half. Their rookie QB continues to make positive strides.

Darnold connects with Pryor for 7-yard TD (0:22)
