The Jets' only two injury questions are RB Matt Forte and G Brian Winters. They will be game-time decisions. All signs point to them playing. CB Mo Claiborne and RB Eli McGuire are good to go.

Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson is being benched because he showed up late this morning to the team meeting, according to a source. This is a chronic issue for Wilkerson, who continues to show he doesn't care anymore.. He shouldn't be allowed to play again this season and he should be cut in the offseason. And he will be.

Jets holding DE Wilkerson out for Saints game

Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson, who has a history of violating team rules, won't make the trip to New Orleans for Sunday's game in what Todd Bowles called a "coach's decision."

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson won't make the trip to New Orleans, Todd Bowles announced. This is not injury-related, it's a coach's decision. This is the second time in three weeks that Wilkerson has been disciplined. Needless to say, his time in New York appears over.

Jets OC: We ran up white flag in Broncos' rout

Jets offensive coordinator John Morton acknowledged on Thursday that he just wanted to run out the clock with the team down 23-0 in the fourth quarter Sunday because he felt the Jets "didn't have a chance" to rally against the Broncos.

Jets OC John Morton offers a candid response on why they kept running the ball in the fourth quarter at Denver: "We didn't have a chance." They were down, 23-0, with under 12 minutes to play and their starter, Josh McCown, was out.

Jets practice (early look-in): It looks like RB Eli McGuire (ankle) will miss practice for the second straight day. RB Matt Forte (knee) participated in the early portion, but its wait-and-see. CB Mo Claiborne (foot), who sat out yesterday, looks like he's ready to practice.

Injured Jets QB Josh McCown, in the green pullover, is watching practice. He has a black cast on his surgically repaired left hand. McCown intends to stay involved over the final three games.

New Jets QB Bryce Petty believes he's been "trending upward" the last two years, but he's not looking at Sunday as an individual audition. He's thinking about team goals. He said his goal is to play well "for these guys in the locker room, it's for Josh (McCown). He set a standard as to how to be a professional, how to be a quarterback." McCown underwent surgery Tuesday on his fractured left hand.

The Jets have a one-week roster waiver for Jeremy Kerley, who is eligible to return after a four-game PED suspension. Coach Todd Bowles said they will make a decision "pretty soon" on Kerley's status. Kerley was at the facility on Wednesday.

The Jets are hurting at running back: No practice for Matt Forte and Eli McGuire.
