The Broncos certainly got what they hoped for when Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen and Washington State quarterback Luke Falk were all assigned to the North team at next week's Senior Bowl -- the rosters were released Thursday. The Broncos' staff will direct the North team so the team's coaches and personnel executives will get to see those players work in meetings and on the practice field. Nebraska'a Tanner Lee is the fourth quarterback on the North team.

Broncos looking into reported Sanders case

The Denver Broncos say they are aware of a report that Emmanuel Sanders was the focus of a sexual assault investigation that did not lead to charges.

As Chris Mortensen has reported Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph will not be at next week's Senior Bowl because of a foot injury. The Broncos coaching staff will direct the North team during next week's practices and the game. Rudolph threw for over 4,000 yards in each of his last two seasons and topped 3,700 yards passing in each of his last three years as a starter. Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee is expected to take Rudolph's spot.

Former Broncos assistant head coach/running backs Eric Studesville is headed to the Dolphins as ruining backs coach/run game coordinator. Studesville and Dolphins coach Adam Gase were on the Broncos' staff together both under Josh Mc Daniels and John Fox.

2018 NFL draft order: Top 28 picks set

The Browns have the most draft capital, with two of the top four picks. The order for most of the other eliminated teams is set, too. Here's a rundown of who has the top 28 picks, with projections for the rest.

Some in the league say Raiders and Chargers are easier fits in the AFC West to potentially lose home games for a London trip than either Denver or Kansas City because both the Raiders and Chargers are in temporary situations until their new stadiums are ready. But Broncos owner Pat Bowlen was one of the NFL's earliest proponents of overseas games and has always wanted the Broncos in that loop.

Two AFC West teams are headed to London for a game in the 2018 season, but the Broncos are not one of them as the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers will each play in one of the three games -- the Raiders against the Seahawks in Week 6 and the Chargers against the Titans in Week 7 or Week 8. After an 5-11 finish the Broncos figure to see a cutback in their national TV appearances as well in '18 unless they make a splash at quarterback in free agency or the draft.

And.... the Broncos have filled five of the six staff openings created when they fired six assistant coaches last week. Zach Azzanni will coach wide receivers. Azzanni also becomes the second assistant coach -- new running backs coach Curtis Modkins is the other -- Vance Joseph has hired who was on former Broncos coach John Fox's staff with the Bears last season.

With the Broncos' official announcement Tom McMahon has been hired to be special teams coordinator, the Broncos have replaced four of the six assistant coaches they fired last week: Special teams-McMahon (replaces Brock Olivo). Offensive line-Sean Kugler (replaces Jeff Davidson). Running backs-Curtis Modkins (replaces Eric Studesville). Defensive backs-Greg Williams (replaces Johnnie Lynn). The Broncos still have openings for a linebackers coach and a wide receivers coach.
