Porzingis ruled out vs. visiting Melo, Thunder

Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis will not be on the court to play against former teammate Carmelo Anthony and the visiting Thunder due to a left knee injury.

In the Thunder locker room before tonight's game against the Knicks, Russell Westbrook was asked how strange it was that OKC was on the road for two "reunion" games this week (Paul George back to Indy, Carmelo back to NYC). As Westbrook answered, Carmelo, getting stretched out nearby, laughed and shouted: "It ain't a coincidence."

Knicks hold on to beat Nets after Porzingis leaves

Courtney Lee scored 18 of his 27 points in the second half and the New York Knicks held on to beat the Brooklyn Nets 111-104 on Thursday night after losing star forward Kristaps Porzingis to a sore left knee early in the second half.

Kristaps Porzingis says that he isn't in significant pain at the moment and it's a good sign that he's standing on his own. He's uncertain about playing Saturday but he says he'll know more after being examined tomorrow.
