Marte looking to rebound after '17 suspension

For Corey Dickerson, an added benefit of getting traded to the Pirates last month is that he doesn't have to face Josh Harrison anymore. Harrison, Pittsburgh's All-Star utility man, retired Dickerson in his one and only pitching appearance back in 2013. Says Harrison: "That's what happens when you throw below hitting speed."

Dickerson happy to land with Pirates

Según un informe policial adquirido por ESPN, Ana Isabel Soto, de 72 años, madre del receptor de los Piratas, Elías Díaz, fue rescatada ayer a las 6:30 p.m. del sector Ancon Bajo en Maracaibo, Estado Zulia. El informe dice que fue rescatada de sus captores en buenas condiciones físicas; sin pagar dinero por su rescate. Se arrestaron a varias personas implicadas con el secuestro, incluidos miembros del departamento de policía local. Se continúa la búsqueda de algunos sospechosos.

According to a police report acquired by ESPN, 72-year-old Ana Isabel Soto, Pirates catcher Elias Diaz's mother, was rescued yesterday at 6:30pm from the area known as sector Ancon Bajo in Maracaibo, Estado Zulia. The official report says she was rescued from her captors in good physical condition; without paying ransom. Several individuals were arrested in connection with the abduction, including members of the local police department. A few suspects remain at large.
